"The ELA M251 is smooth like butter..."
- Bill Ryan (Sound Engineer)
Not only did we interview Telefunken, but we also got their help with our audio! Make sure to keep an ear out for the "smooth like butter" sounding audio in our documentary, it's all thanks to Telefunken!
History:
Telefunken started in 1903 in Germany, and was known for its one product the ELA M251, this microphone is thought to be one of the best sounding microphones ever created. In 2000 Toni Fishman bought the copyrights to Telefunken and opened his own lab in South Windsor Connecticut called Telefunken: Eelektroakustik. Mr. Fishman bought an original ELA M251 and like many of the other owners of this valuable mic, he realized the polar pattern switch was no longer functional. He set out to reverse engineer and reproduce the original technology of this mic. After years of dedicated work they were able to accurately reproduce and replicate the ELA M251 and bring it back to the present generation.
Adorea Studios:

Our experience at Adorea Recording Studio was phenomenal. Adorea is a small local recording studio in Hamden, CT. It has been around for 8 years and has worked with everything from big companies like Apple to little projects for independent customers.
"Telefunken fits everything I need...!"- Travis Bell (Owner/Operator of Studio)
